About Acrylic Prints
Mounting Option #1
Mounting Option #2
Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print. Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.
The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!
All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).
The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.
There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.
Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts. The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall. When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done. The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1". All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print. Click here for mounting details.
Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back. There are no metal mounting posts at the corners. Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done. Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50" Click here for mounting details.

It was a gift for my daughter and she loves it. We first saw the print at the Backus museum in Florida during a photography show and we thought it was amazing. Beautiful work.

Once again the people printing this paid no attention to the mounting clearly stated on the invoice of HANGING WIRE. They installed a cleat. That makes this print of no use to me. Galleries and/or Exhibitors will not accept anything other than a hanging wire. So I had to go to a framer and pay to have a hanging wire installed. It was much easier than having to ship this back. BTW, a cleat isn't even offered on the ordering page.

I think the mix of colors provided a very decent balance to maintain the serious business that was Malcom X, as well as creating a softer tone in parallel.

Absolutely stunning! I cannot wait to cook my next meal with Anthony by my side.
Artist's Description
Inspired by the Porsche 356, the factory decided to build a car designed for use in auto racing. The beauty of the 550 was that it could be driven to the track, raced and then driven home, which showed the flexibility of being both a road and track car. Perhaps the most famous of the Porsche 550's built was James Dean's "Little Bastard" which Dean fatally crashed on September 30, 1955.
About Douglas Pittman
Hi I'm Doug, Welcome to my online gallery. I'm a Dallas Ft Worth based photographer specializing in the creation of automotive artwork. My love for photography came at an early age with the gift of a camera for Christmas. Over the years I've shot a variety of subjects eventually finding my calling capturing the style and beauty of automobiles. My catalog runs the gamut from early American vintage to exotic super-cars with muscle-cars and imports included in the mix. Most recently I have begun adding some aviation pieces to my portfolio. The style that I developed working with cars seems to translate well with this subject matter too. Look for more of these among my works as time and opportunity allow. If you'd like help finding a...
