Description
An October day brought me to Gilmanton New Hampshire. There is a tavern around the corner from the church. Also a general store down the street but not much more that can be seen in this town. I'm sure that for the most part the people who live here enjoy the quiet as leaf peeper rush by looking for New England's greatest show. The church was built in 1793, not much history can be found online. The historic Temperance Tavern in Gilmanton corner is a beautiful colonial building that has been a B&B and is up for sale. The fall colors are very bright, even this far south.
