A Blue Hole turtle getting a little help from a friend on Big Pine Key, Florida. Its abandoned rock quarry was used for the Overseas Railroad and then for road fills. Mostly fresh water sits on a miniscus of salt water and supports the population of alligators, birds, fish, green iguanas, key deer, snakes, and turtles. It is part of the National Key Deer Refuge.
