I was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed with my purchase upon receiving and likely won't go back to Fineart America again. Let me explain. The shipping time was excellent, and although there is a very slight crease in the paper it was packaged up in the mailing tube well. Armand Cabrera's artwork is wonderful and the image was what I was hoping for after seeing on my computer screen. I hope most of the funds I spent for this repro went to him. The inks and printing seem to be of good quality. What I really didn't like was the quality or lack thereof of the paper for what I spent. Yes, it's matte, hopefully acid free, what I ordered, but compared to some of the art I've ordered from Encore Editions, this paper seemed like a heavy weight poster paper. The paper that Encore Editions used as their opening price point was more like an art paper. Matte, thick, textured, almost an artist's watercolour paper. It made the images I ordered from them absolutely stunning. I looked at the various paper types before I ordered but couldn't really tell by the descriptions the differences. Maybe I should have called someone and asked. Nevertheless, what could have been a beautiful piece of art is in reality a bit lackluster. I'm going to do my best to mat and frame it the best I can, since the impetus for buying this image is to conjure up some memories of a trip to California last year. For the time being, Encore Editions and ImageKInd will be my go to suppliers.

This is a beautiful piece beautifully delivered.

All of the pictures were much more a coral color than pink. Was disappointed. The color was not as sharpe as the online picture.

Artist's Description

The Ginza in Tokyo, Japan is a photographic wonderland for the night photographer. Everywhere you turn there is more light, more neon, more motion. This image captures a sense of that light and motion.

About Brad Rickerby

Brad Rickerby

Brad Rickerby might just as well have been born with a camera in his hand. The son of LIFE staff photographer Arthur Rickerby, Brad Rickerby developed a profound visual aesthetic early on and had his first publication credit in LIFE in 1966 at the age of nine. Rickerby flirted with the business world in the '80's, earned an MBA (Duke, '89) and worked on Wall Street with the Dreyfus Corporation. But inevitably he was compelled to reject the confines of the corporate world, to return to his creative roots. Rickerby's re-birth into creativity came in 1991 when he started shooting for the Brooklyn (NY) Phoenix. From there he went on to do paparazzi work for Sipa Press and eventually to news photography as a full time stringer for Reuters...
