The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I took this photo in Botswana. The giraffe mama and her baby were trying to get up the nerve to cross the river which was plagued with crocodiles. They made several false starts. I hope they made it before dark.
