This painting is an 11x14 inch oil painting that was created on a gallery canvas. It was inspired by a collection of glass items from my kitchen and a yellow daisy from my yard. I loved the contrast of the blue background and that one yellow flower. I am reminded of the famous poem by Emily Dickinson entitled, "The Daisy Follows Soft the Sun."

I love the depth the layered set-up gives this and especially that we can see through the large jar to the plate behind it.
