This photo was taken on a recent trip that my wife and I took. We were coming through Plains, Georgia which is the birthplace of the 39th US President, Jimmy Carter. The sun was dropping fast and there were a multitude of colors in the sky. There was a mild green tint high in the sky among the blue, as well as a nice orange and purple at the horizon where the sun had just disappeared. The clouds were very unusual that night, as they were streaked, as well as thick at the horizon. The lonely trees on the right side of the photo show the fall of the year, as the leaves had already fallen. Plains Georgia is the birthplace of Jimmy Carter, the 39th US President, and sits outside of Albany Georgia. Jimmy Carter was also Georgia's 76th governor. This is the scenes that he viewed on a regular basis growing up in this rural Georgia town. This is a wonderful sunset sky for your collection, or a great start to a new collection.
