Thank you Joy very much appreciated.

Beautiful, Nathan...I love the light and textures! f/v Your entire series at the abandoned lunatic asylum is wonderful...some a bit scary...but still incredible to look at as a body of work.

Thanks for your comments John. Thats an old shoe I think. ;)

wonderful work. I love everything about it. Color, tone, mood, composition, and the history. Thanks for sharing this Nathan! P.S. Is that your foot in the foreground? or one from the past? :) v/f

I carved 3 Kokopelli figures and one sunburst onto a 36" wide board, next, I needed to paint them. Sadly, I'm from Atlanta, so, I don't know the SW pallet of colors. That's why I bought your painting - to glean inspiration. Your pallet has helped enormously. Of course, I didn't slavishly copy your mixtures; instead, I created my own. However, it must be stated that yours opened my eyes to some exciting choices. I'm nearly done painting the 3-D figures. When I'm finished, I'll send you a photo if you are really interested.

Love this art work. It is the Center piece of my living room. We are a fly fishing family and this couldn’t have been better.

Just love it. I get a smile on my face when ever I see it. Such a fantastic artwork. Bobby Zeik has a great sense of humor, color, texture. The perfect combination of an iconic image and artistic expression. The posters came very quickly nicely rolled in a tube. The paper quality is excellent.

I am the author of "Frank K. Hain and the Manhattan Railway, the Elevated Railway (1875-1903)," published by McFarland & Co., 2011. My book has many elevated train photos, but not this particular one I purchased your art because it mirrored the ones in my book and is posting size. It now hangs on a wall in my office. The art work is excellent and the photo paper is very high quality. It is a top notch product and I am proud to have it on my wall.

Artist's Description

This is an abandoned lunatic asylum, just North of Berlin. Once used by the Nazis, then by the Soviets. It is the second time I have been here, shot many building's I had not shot the 3 years previous. Although most were a very tight squeeze through small holes and very long and narrow tunnels to get access. It was on a February day and the temp was -14°c, my drink of orange was frozen solid. All was well worth it in the end.
