We went to the Hawk Hill, located in the Marin Headlands just north of San Francisco's Golden Gate. The moon had 98% illumination and was very bright. We did moonrise shots over San Francisco, then waited into the night. As the moon rose higher we noticed the shadow it caused on the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge. The shadow gradually moved from the right to the left. I took this shot when the shadow was dead center with the tower.
