Description
My garden has a profusion of native Wisconsin plants like Coneflowers. While the flowers are in bloom, Monarchs and and Eastern Tiger Swallowtails visit for the nectar. I used to trim off the drying flowers of the Coneflowers as they passed their prime and their pink petals shriveled to nothing, but the year I did not do that I was rewarded with American Goldfinches coming to the garden to nibble on the seeds.
