She studied at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and took many private classes but considers herself to be a self taught artist. Using lots of detail, bright and bold colors and sometimes a touch of humor, has won her many awards. She continues to win awards today. She has been published and has a painting in the Postal Museum of the Smithsonian. Carol is a realist so she paints what she sees in her particular style. She loves nature and enjoys painting flowers, landscapes and some abstracts. She applies a lot of layering in her paintings no matter the subject matter.
