'Good fences make good neighbors'. The Mending Wall by Robert Frost. At first I thought this was an old wooden chair , just set aside and left there in the corner of the fence, but it seemed too massive and overly built. I realized it was a means to climb the fence and access the other side between two neighboring pastures. Well worn and with its yellow paint fading, I understood it had been well used by these southern farmers to visit back and forth.
