Hilario’s work evokes very familiar emotions growing up in Manila. The piece is colorful and happy as it is somber and profound. Mabuhay!

I wanted a piece by this artist for a long time. Finally was able to get the size I needed for my bedroom. Pictures don’t do it justice. It is amazing and could not be happier.

I ordered this as a set of three poster-size prints. The quality is exceptional. The image is very crisp, and the colors true to depiction. Plus, the framing is very light, despite the large size.

I purchased this as a gift which I have not given yet. There is a small puncture tear on the print, will not be seen when hung.I cut my finger on a very sharp piece of wood that was on the back of the frame which was very poorly finished. The print once I re-frame it will suffice as a gift but I am very disappointed.

Sad story - Purolator took this shipment 02May - they had it 4 days then sent me tracking notice delivery delayed-they finally put a trace and today 17May they advise cannot locate shipment & file closed. Told me to contact you for responsibility. I am now in a wrangle with them but not expecting much. Truly suggest you STOP shipping via Purolator because they have terrible track record and accept no responsibilty. So, I would love to say I am happy with purchase but you see, I haven't seen it and probably never will - & sadly won't order from you again while you use Purolator. FYI - Purolator tracing agent - Chris Boudreau 877-692 4102 x71223 - shipment tracing nbr 608035435676 - if you care at all to follow up with them. Gary
About Scott Listfield

I paint astronauts and, sometimes, dinosaurs. Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey was released in 1968, which was about 8 years before I was born, so I have no firsthand knowledge of how it was received. I do not know if people genuinely believed we'd be living in space in 2001. If we'd have robot butlers and flying cars, geodesic lunar homes with sustainable gardens, and genetically reconstituted dinosaurs helping or eating the human population. But from Lost in Space to the Jetsons to Jurassic Park, it seems that popular culture craved and fomented this space-age perception of the future. Generations raised on these programs, movies, comic books, and novels are now grown and living in a future filled with mini vans, Starbucks,...

Wow! When I saw this in a thumbnail I thought it was a photo of the Arizona landscape and that you had digitally incorporated the helicopter from a digital drawing, but now knowing this is really a oil on canvas , I am stunned!! :] Great work, looks very finalized

Wonderful work!!

Ive done that also, using the computer to make sketches, then have access to printer that can print 18 inches wide. Print on canvas, stretch it. Then Over paint, saves a lot of time and work, then actually is painted in acrylics and water mixable oils... with nothing of the original sketch visible. BOB Nadine paints the "old fashioned way" from scratch, sketching on the canvas. :)

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Sorry I'm so late in responding. To answer a few questions: All my originals are done in oil on canvas. I do use computer aided drawing techniques in the early stagesof my works, but the finished products are all firmly analog. This particular painting was a real challenge. I don't consider myself much of a landscape artist, and every time I do something even half this complex, I swear it will be the last time. But then I go and do it again.
