The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I have fond early memories of my first camera, a low-rent 35mm point-n-shoot that my grandpa acquired as a freebie and handed over to me. My first subjects included an entire 36 exposure roll of nothing but photos of ducks. Years later I would complete my BA in Photography and later a 2nd BA in English Lit. would follow, both from Grand Valley State University. 35mm would give way to large format 4x5, which would later be sold to fund my first digital camera set-up.
