My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description
The "Grand View" overlooks features in Colorado National Monument like the Kissing Couple, Praying Hands, Independence Monument, and Sentinel Spire. The photograph was made was made on a modern Canon 5D MkIII camera and processed to resemble an Autochrome image from an earlier film type.
The Autochrome Lumi're was an early color photography process patented in 1903 by the Lumi're brothers in France and first marketed in 1907 and was the principal color photography process in use before the advent of subtractive color film in the mid-1930's. The process created images on a glass plate using combined layers of dyed potato starch grains.
Autochrome is an additive color "mosaic screen plate" process. The medium consists of a glass plate coated on one side with a random mosaic of microscopic grains of potato starch dyed red-orange, green, and blue-violet - a functional variant of the standard red, green, and blue additive colors - which act as color filters. About Jon Burch Photography
Photography is all about using light to capture the emotion and beauty of a fleeting moment. For me, this adventure began with a single spring image using a small Kodak film camera of a freshly watered central Kansas ditch and has come full circle using modern digital techniques. My first camera was acquired by trading an ancient Royal typewriter to a fellow college student who was desperate to finish a term paper. It was a long time ago and that camera was my passport to an art that has fascinated me ever since. I owned and operated a professional studio in central Kansas for 20 years and moved to Colorado in 1994. Part of the studio's early success came from creating outdoor portraiture using controlled lighting...
