The Gray Catbird, Dumetella carolinensis, is a North and Central American bird known for its many and varied vocalizations. Besides it's own cat-like cry, it often imitates other birds. It favors overgrown bushy areas, avoiding open spaces, and likes to sing while perched at the top of a tree. This one is in Minnesota.

I'm a photographer in Minneapolis, interested in many things. Sometimes I start with a plan, and sometimes something just catches my eye. I like to come up with my own spin on a subject and create an image with some sort of a twist. And when I know what I want, I'll spend a lot of time getting it.
