Carmen Reservoir is becoming one of my favorite places. The McKenzie River Trail cuts through here. I've been previous parts of it. However, it is also a great place to find birds. Last time I was here, there were flocks of geese. This time, with the level rather low and ice across parts of it, there were some ducks, small birds, and this heron whom I followed around the lake until I was able to get some closer shots of him/her, including this one.
