I am so happy to have this beautiful print after the fires in Lahaina! My heart goes out to the beautiful people of Lahaina and Maui, and I treasure my many visits there. The artwork is gorgeous. The stunning mat work and framing really accentuate the piece! Mahalo!!

Fantastic! The photo is perfect and I would have just thumbtacked that to the wall ❤️. But the frame and mat ❤️❤️❤️! It took a little while to ship (2 weeks?) and in the age of amazon that seems like an eternity! So heads up on that. But the photo and frame is fantastic! Crazy packaging! Incredibly secure!! Yet almost all recyclable! Thank you for that.

Artist's Description
This is one of a series of pieces exploring the grid structure in a very limited palette of blues, greens, neutrals, with red as an accent color. I was interested in building atmospheric layers and textures, and contrasting the formal grid structure with freely expressive mark making.
About Jane Davies
Jane Davies is a full time artist working in collage, painting, and encaustics. She offers workshops at her studio and nationwide, focusing on helping people to find a personal and playful approach to creating. Beginning as a potter in the early nineties, Davies gradually transitioned into freelance art, using painting and collage as her medium. For the past several years she has put most of her efforts towards teaching, writing, and having fun making art. She is the author of three books on collage and mixed media, one on ceramics, and has one DVD on painting and collage techniques.
