Artist's Description
This was one of those beautiful warm days when the clouds were hanging low like big white fluffy mounds of whipped cream. I was driving my school bus and I came across this beautiful scene. There was, what looked like, a river of green grass fowing through the golden wheat fields. The light was magical with tne cloud shadows drifting over the land. I finishes the last of my route, then came back the this spot. The hieght of the bus widow gave me a little bit of an higher pov., so I was able to see farther off in to the distance. The scene and mood was simply glorious! This will look so beautiful on any wall of your home or office. Many more wonderful works can be found in my various galleries, form photographs and photoart to digital creations and abstracts. Thanks for browsing, commenting and most of all for any purchases. Thank you Theresa, Chester and Randy.. I always just go with what my eye likes, and for some reason, my eye liked this! :D I do love all the critique though. Really makes me look closer at how I can improve.. I just really couldn't figure a way to crop either in this instance. Thanks again to everyone!! Love all the discussion! :D
Randy Rosenberger
Personally I like the balance of this piece. If there were something really striking in the foreground that may have been missed, like fall flowering weeds, or a stump, or a water feature, then maybe include that for more depth to the land portion of photo, but if everything else is equal, then I believe you have achieved a nice balance, as it is a nice piece.
Chester Williams
I agree with Theresa- you have to forget rules sometimes and go with what works! The image is fine the way you have presented it. Good work Debbie.
Theresa Tahara
I like this series, Debbie. I think it would be very difficult in this particular instance to change the horizon. I like the dark green in the forground and I guess you could take a small amount of the sky out but not much. It gives it such great distance. Sometime rules need to be broken. ;)
Debbie Portwood
Thanks so much for your great observation and honost critique! This is how we learn from from one another, and I have so much to learn.. I see know that the horizion is in the center and I know it should not be, I suppose I was just so taken with the beauty of both land and sky that I forgot the rule of thirds.. Please help me decide If I should have less land or less sky? Thanks again so much! :D
Alfonso Garcia
Very interesting your investigation about this photo. Could you try this one but with the sky fron five th ? Be carefull because sky and the field would not go in competence. All togeher with armony. Sorry if not like this opinion! Regards
