An image of Grindstone Falls (or sometimes referred to as the Great Falls or Smokey Hollow Falls) in the area of Hamilton/Ancaster/Waterdown in Ontario, Canada. It flows over the Niagara Escarpment. It is a terraced ribbon type fall with a height of about 6 m and a width of about 4.5 m. There is an observation platform on top with steps leading down to the Grindstone Creek. This images was taken from as close as possible to the face of the falls without risking slipping or drowning in the rather fast moving waters.

Thank you Susan; I was actually standing right in the middle of the stream; luckily there were a couple of rocks precariously wedged in between other rocks that allowed me to set my tripod and take the shot. Glad you like this. Thank you for dropping by and for the wonderful comment.
