Description
594 The Grumman Gulfhawk, at a glance, shows classic Grumman lines as forerunner of the F4F Wildcat and the Hellcat, so valued in the war in the Pacific. The F3F design was obsolete by the beginning of WWII and this particular G-22A civilian version carried the paint scheme of Gulf oil company. Aerobatic champion Al Williams headed their aviation department. In this airplane he toured Europe performing at air shows during his colorful, record setting and inspirational career in aviation.
