One of a series of river shots I captured at Lane Cove National Park in Sydney.
It was mid afternoon and the color of the water was a vibrant blue showing the reflections of the gum trees in the water.
There is a wonderful song called: KOOKABURRA SITS IN THE OLD GUM TREE"..
I have had difficulty finding a nice link to this song with the lyrics... as one word in the song "gay" apparently created concern and needed changing, so this is the version I have found at present:

Kirsten, thank you so much for your lovely comment and v/f. I am so glad it brought back memories. The lovely song you refer to is so popular here and so well known... possibly around the world also. It was difficult to find a nice and normal version to this song.... Please see my description for reasons and the best link I could find at present.

Hello Kaye! Oh, that cobalt blue--like fine glass. I love it. It is fun to read the word gums for the name of the trees. When I was young I learned a song about the kookleberry sits in the old gum tree. In Minnesota, we did not have eucalyptus trees, and so I had no clue what either a kookleberry or gum tree was. I still sing it sometimes, as I love the melody, and now that I have seen both, it has more meaning. f/v Kirsten
