Another beautiful piece of work. Have you ever had the chance to visit the butterfly exhibit (live butterflies) in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum?

Thanks, William! No, I have never gotten to visit there. I'd probably faint from happiness overload, lol!

So beautiful Betty.

Thank you, Sandra!

The colors in this photograph make this my favorite butterfly image and my first Hackberry Emperor. They are very interesting. v/f

Betty LaRue replied:

Thank you, Bob. Yes, the subdued brown colors kind of get you, and the more you look, the prettier they are! So glad you like it!

I wanted something quirky for the bathroom, and this acrylic portrait was exactly right. Very nice work on the frame and matting, too.

I love this print. I was drawn to it immediately. Right now it graces the top of my filing cabinet as there is no place to display it properly. Absolutely gorgeous.

Mountings were attached upside down. Disappointed in final product due to its cost and rushed work.

About Betty LaRue

Although writing was stimulating and fun, I longed to do something that got me out of the house and into nature. Within months, I abandoned film and went to a Nikon digital camera. Recently, I went to a new system with Fuji. I now shoot an X-T1 and am eagerly awaiting the rumored X-T2 My love for the creative process, nature and the animals that live in nature influences my work, although I have branched out in many areas...
