Hag's Hill or Hill of the Witches is part of an historic neolithic landscape stretching along the through counties Meath, Cavan and Louth in Ireland. It is one of a number of passage tombs in the area. This digital artwork is worked on an image of my original painting, Hill of the Witches.
I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh. I have been involved in community art and education particularly with under represented communities.
