This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

For a perception of size, the Trees seen on the Granite before Half Dome, can average over 75 -125 feet high. One of my Favorite Trips, from before we had to stop Backpacking into the back country. As a Psychologist who dealt with peoples problems for over 40 years, it was great to go into the back-country. There the only person to talk with was Nadine, who had no problems. :)

One thing that one of us always carried was a tripod. Usually I carried 58-60lbs and Nadine carried 38-40lbs. Sharper Images come from those who carry one. The lighting is not always good enough to get a sharp image hand held.

The texture in Half Dome, is not any texture which was added to the image. It is the actual texture of the Granite in Half Dome. By Shooting with a tripod, and Top quality Nikon Lenses, focusing on the Dome itself using an F-Stop of F11 or smaller, you get a deeper depth of field. .... Then, Digital Camera's do not sharpen as well as film cameras. So in Lightroom, there is a feature for each of the major camera manufacturers, which Sharpens the image according to the Lens used on the camera. They have settings for each lens made by the manufacturer. This helps to produce an image closer to the actual lens used on the camera.

Waiting for the right time of day helps also, with the late afternoon sun in the West, the cross lighting helps define the texture of Half Dome more vividly than it would have, if at a different angle, say between 10-11am or until 3 pm.
