Beautiful sight, Heidi! And to think that these boulders got here probably by glaciers tumbling them in slow motion! LF

Heidi Smith replied:

Thank you, David.

Very cool image. I like the blues and muted lavenders. Any idea what the foreground plant is? Reminds me of wild grasses and heather I have seen on the moors in England, though I suspect this is California.

Heidi Smith replied:

Hi Carla. I don't know what the foreground shrubbery is. This is in Joshua Tree National Park, California. Thank you very much.

Great capture Heidi, wouldn't want to be near these rocks if they started falling, like!

Heidi Smith replied:

Thank you, Kate.

Average Rating (4.93 Stars):

I really like this towel but I bought this as a present for a 6'5 foot tall person and produce came a little smaller than listed. When it arrived the tag said "Bath towel" not a beach towel. Still a very large Boblicious towel and is larger than the normal bath towel.

It was so soft! My fan loved it!

The fabric is soft. Seems absorbent. Bought these to put them in the pool area of our home. Our home name is “Hotel California” and these towels added to the theme wonderfully. I would recommend and buy them again.

Artist's Description

Hall Of Horrors - Original photographic artwork by Heidi Smith Hall of Horrors is a group of rocks across the road from Saddle Rocks which are arranged in parallel fashion forming a series of "halls". This is a fairly popular area but it holds large numbers of people fairly well with the various faces of the formations acting as a natural buffer. Whatever sort of climbing you're looking for, be it moderate cracks, difficult sport routes or even runout slabs look no further. Joshua Tree National Park is located in southeastern California. Declared a U.S. National Park in 1994 when the U.S. Congress passed the California Desert Protection Act (Public Law 103-433), it had previously been a U.S. National Monument since 1936. It is named for the Joshua trees (Yucca brevifolia) native to the park. It covers a land area of 790,636 acres (1,235.37 sq mi; 3,199.59 km2) an area slightly larger than the state of Rhode Island. A large part of the park, some 429,690 acres (173,890 ha), is a desi...

About Heidi Smith

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I have a long-standing interest in photography. I had my first camera since before my teens. I used a (Minolta) film camera up until about 8 years ago when my camera failed to function while on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Although a little intimidated, I then ventured into the world of digital photography and I've never looked back. My passion is nature. I started out primarily photographing flowers, plants, and critters that I would find in my garden. I love gardening and the great outdoors. I am always planning my next adventure, and I'll always have my camera in hand. I'm already...
