Artist's Description
This is a photo taken in a tree farm in Oregon. Most of the trees are relatively straght, with the occasion twisted sister as seen on the right front of the photo. It is an incredibly interesting and mysterious place, especially at night. This image was taken in January and the leaves were frozen. I had to use handwarmers in my pockets to keep my fingers warm enought to press the shutter.
About Jean Noren
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
