The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I love to paint! Although I do have a serious side, I am usually smiling, especially when I am painting or viewing other artists' work on FAA and commenting. Thank you for viewing my FAA site. Hi Elizabeth, I was touched by this photo of your parents and the fact that you wrote they'd been married 67 years and both passed away in the same year. My mother also just passed away and I have taken a photo of her and transferred it onto canvas and built around it with memories of her. I still haven't finished it. It's a personal piece and just for my satisfaction but I love working on it, it gives me solace. Nice to be in touch with you so far away...

Thank you Maria. Your words brought tears to my eyes this morning. I miss my Mom and Dad so much. I always called my mother "Mama" and my dad "Daddy". I never got used to the more formal sounding - Mother and Father. Yes, my dad was a rock. He and my mother stood up for what they believed in. Also when I needed them, they stood behind me all the way. They were married to each other for 67 years and then both passed away in 2003.

Hi Anne, Thanks for your comments on my work. I do write a lot. For the past two and a half years I have been writing my friends life story. Maybe I will send you something from that or just a poem. Your paintings are expansive so I need to have time to look properly.. Although I don't know your parents the photo was lovely. reminded me of my parents old photos. It is good to know that people like them can count on each other through all kinds of things. That was the impression that I got from the photo, especially your dad, He seemed to be expressing that she could count on him for anything. Thanks for sharing it. Maria

Thanks Bruce. I appreciate your comments and insightful remarks. Since both of my parents passed on in 2003, I've come across their photos and letters. Posting this picture on FAA serves as an outlet because I am still iin mourning. So here I express my grief in a positive way. They look so happy and in love. (circa 1935)
