The Komodo Dragon. Largest of the monitor lizard family. Their sense of smell is highly developed. The tongue is long and forked like a snake. The teeth are numerous and sharp and they are known for their infectious bite. The dragons are quite capable swimmers,often swimming to nearby islands in search of food and a mate. Truly a lost reminiscence of a bygone era. This animal is one of our Endangered Species. Love 'em or hate 'em, they deserve our reverence. A feeling of deep respect,love,and awe.
