The image is stunning. However this “tapestry” came as thin a sheet. I hung it on the wall with care, however holes are already appearing around the tacks. I did contact FineartAmerica, and was told they would not let me “return” it, but I could “take pictures of me destroying it” and they would refund my money. Frankly, I couldn’t do it. I would have happily sent it back, postage on me. It fit into an 8x10 envelope, it is so thin. But, they said no,” because of the environment.” So, I hung it on my wall, because I can’t destroy art. But the holes are appearing, and I'm not happy at all.

Stunning
A collection of wooden sailboats glides through the waters of a busy, working dock.
The Wooden Sailboat Festival in Port Townsend, WA, is a step back into another era – a visual leap into the 19th century when the sail craft on the sea possessed a beauty of form and structure.
Although there are hundreds, thousands of people in attendance, there is not the noise that one expects in large gatherings. With no motors to break the soft lapping of the water in on the Sound, there is simply the laughter of the people sailing, the sound of one person crying out to another to adjust this or fix that, the conversational hum of spectators watching the boats gliding through the water.
In many ways, the activity in the water is like a dance. Close to the docks, there are more ships in proximity to one another, and as one looks further afield into the Sound, the distance between the vessels increase. But always, the sailboats look out for one another, keep a healthy distance...
I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
