This print has very dark (black) parts, if it had not been for this error I would have given it 5 stars.

Good and nice Print. Thank you.

This came in crimped, which I did not realize until I had driven out the framer and they unrolled it. Obviously disappointing, so I requested a replacement. It has been two weeks and still no updates other than "they have to reprint it". It's for a client's project, which puts me into a difficult position with the client, so not the best customer service. The print itself is very bold and beautiful.

Artist's Description

Original Watercolour and Ink Painting I have painted this series of watercolours using direct drawing with Indian ink straight onto the paper and then followed with washes of colour. The work is really all about the expression and passion in the original ink marks, and trying to allow these marks to speak for the land they represent. The ink drawing was made using a Japanese bamboo calligraphy pen The fort was built on a rocky spur giving a superb view over the River Esk in both upper and lower Eskdale, and protecting Hardknott Pass. At an altitude of 800 feet, the ruins have been commonly known in recent times as Hardknott Fort or Hardknott Castle, but are identified from the Ravenna Cosmography as the Mediobogdum fort, situated along the road between the forts of Galava (Ambleside) and Glannoventa (Ravenglass). The painting is on sized and primed handmade watercolour paper.
