Description
A brilliant bird, common in Arizona, that "team hunts." Four or five Harris Hawks will pursue one animal until it's exhausted and basically collapses. 20% of all profit from sales is donated to help #veterans with #PTSD ...
Harris's hawk also known as the bay-winged hawk or dusky hawk, is a medium-large bird that breeds from the southwestern United States south to Chile, central Argentina, and Brazil. Birds are sometimes reported Europe, especially Britain, but it is a popular species in falconry and these records may all refer to escapes from captivity.
The name is derived from the Greek and the Latin buteo, referring to a kind of buzzard; John James Audubon gave this bird its English name in honor of his ornithological companion, financial supporter, and friend Edward Harris.

The Harris's hawk is famous for its behavior of hunting in packs or tolerant groups, while other raptors usually hunt alone. The Harris's hawk's intelligence leads to its social nature, which results in easier training and has meant the Harris's hawk has become a popular bird in falconry.
