Description
Harry Caray Statue With Historic Wrigley Scoreboard In Heirloom.
The plan for this beautiful June day was simple, go wander around Downtown Chicago like a tourist.
We started out by approaching the city from the SWS train line into Union Station where we joined up with two other city explorers also arriving from the West into Union Station.
Our next move was to find some breakfast and then a grab a cab to the Water Tower area in the North Loop.
During our time up there we explored Jane Byrne Park, the old Water Tower that survived the Chicago fire, Holy Name Cathedral and the 1st Class shops of Water Tower Place.
Leaving the North Loop we weaved in and out of the stores and shops as we walked South on Michigan Avenue working our way towards the Chicago River Walk.
We proceed walking West on the River Walk as we strolled our way back to Union Station to catch the evening trains.
Note: This is just one photograph from that June walk in my different Chicago IL FAA Photography galleries.
The Cubs won back-to-back World Series championships in 1907 and 1908, becoming the first major league team to play in three consecutive World Series, and the first to win it twice.
