This oil painting for autumn and Thanksgiving by Nancy Lee Moran has rich colors, fine details, and twenty-nine gourds, apples and pumpkins. No wonder the art took so many hours to paint! Pamela Estrada made the quilted wallhanging that is shown in the art. She used free-motion quilting and a pattern (Autumn Moon by Melanie Formway Chang from StoryQuilts.com). While her quilt had a bluebird, Moran changed into an owl (to suit autumn). A display from Moran's parish church in autumn 2014 inspired some of this painting.
