Grandma, or Mom, or one of the girls would come out off the back proch and ring that bell when supper was ready. On the really hard days, we used to run over to the kitchen window every now and then, whenever we got a chance, just to check and make sure we didn't miss the bell, because if you were late, there was a good chance you would more than likely see bed time with a less than full belly. Not because you were in trouble for working past supper, heck nobody got in trouble for that. It was because someone else got your share of supper if you weren't there to claim it in person.

Hi, My name is Dan Theisen. I've been drawing for close to fifty years now. I'm a self taught artist. I would have prefered to persue a formal education in the arts, however earning a living and raising a family didn't allow for that, so through trial and error I have developed and continue to develope my art into what it is today.
