Description
A Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle swims along the Mahaiula beach coastline and feeds on the shallow rocks. The surf was beginning to pick up making it difficult to stay still while waves churned sand and debris up. I had to hold tight to the rock so I didn't run into the turtle while photographing with my other hand. Then all of a sudden the turtle stopped feeding and swam by with its flipper up, holding this position for a while as if to say 'hello' and pose, then returned to feeding.

Awww, I just love it!! So adorable and beautiful!! I was lucky enough to be swimming among green sea turtles when we visited the Big Island, too, but unfortunately my underwater camera self imploded, lol!! I was SO upset, but still really happy to have the great memory!!! :)))f
