The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

On this particular evening, the weather forecasts were predicting storm cells that could produce rain and lightning. My first thought was to grab some dramatic cloudscapes over the farmland. Then maybe get a chance for a rainbow or lightning. As the sun set, the clouds filled with color. I was looking for a good composition as quickly as I could while traveling the back roads of the Palouse. I knew I didn't have much time. I could see the lightning in the distance and the dark clouds were rolling in. I came up on this field of hay that was partially baled. I loved the lines of the downed hay creating a pattern. There was still enough light from the sunset to give the scene a surreal feel. As the lightning came I just kept shooting in hopes of capturing some in this already dramatic scene. My photography focus is primarily nature and wildlife. I have a strong passion for the outdoors, capturing images that help preserve the numerous public lands and all that they offer. My travels take me all over the western united states to the common and not so common places. Many of my photos concentrate on the National Parks of Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Arches National Parks.
