Heart anatomy. 16th-century artworks of the anatomy and function of the heart, by the Italian artist and scientist Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519). His mirror writing is seen here. It is thought these artworks date from around 1510. They are from the collection of pages from his journal that are held at the Royal Library, Windsor Castle, England.
