This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

I am very pleased with the quality of the product, and the gift recipient loved it and brought them to tears as it was a sentimental gift.

Artist's Description
Have always been a big fan of cows and maybe that is due to my origins on my father's side were dairy/cheese farmers from Denmark.
Hereford
The Hereford breed was developed in England in the 1700s to fulfill the expanding food market created by the industrial revolution. The original Herefords were bred for a high yield of beef and efficient production, and those characteristics are still important in the breed today. They were brought to the U.S. in 1817, and were useful for improving herds in the Southwest.
Because of their early maturity and fattening ability, Herefords became very popular in the U.S. As tastes changed in the 1950s, Herefords were bred to be leaner, with less fat and more red meat. Both horned and polled Herefords remain common in the U.S. They are known for their longevity, and for being docile, easy calvers, good milkers, and good mothers.
About Marcia Lee Jones
Where does one start with a quick biography, which will give some insight to the artist inside? For me, photography was a way to get my feelings out by capturing moments in my life. Memories are one of the biggest ways to experience emotions of all types. Photography was that answer to capture moments that were ignored by others that would elicit an emotion. For instance, the way light can highlight an object brilliantly shadows that express mystery colors that can be dramatic or soft. To be able to do that with any form of art is important to the human psyche. We all must be able to express ourselves and my way is in black, white and color. Hope you will enjoy some of these...

Awesome portrait of this beautiful cow. I'm a huge fan of cows as well as pigs and chickens, etc. I'm vegan and feel so bad for the horrors of their lives. They all need help. Wonderful light and detail in this amazing image.
