Description
This was one of my first bird paintings and it is long gone except for the image here. I really loved the way the colors blended together and this one inspired me to paint "Bad Hair Day". This is a beautiful painting and is still available in print.

Thank you, Kristin. I'll catch up soon but thank you about the color comments also. I really wanted it to be a soothing painting.

Beautiful watercolor, Lil. It's great to see one of these in such a quiet, retrospective way. Every time I've come upon one, they're fishing! :) Love the your color choices.

tremendous power wielded in the deep contrasts of the darks, complimenting the watercolor washes. this heron is majestic!
Lil Taylor replied:
Thank you, Marlene. This was my very first watercolor that I took down to show my husband and he said, "Now, that looks like it should be in a museum!" Before that, my experiments got something along the line of, "yeah, that's nice....." so I knew I wasn't even close. haha. Thank you so much! Lil
