High in the hills with mountains in the distance, a country road wends its way through the fields. Life is quiet in the country.

Along roads like these – rarely traveled, and when people do drive on them, they can’t do so quickly – the hiker and bicyclist enjoy vistas of space that extends into the background hills. The only sound is that of the bicycle pedaling, a bird chirping now and then, the chirruping of insects that stops as the traveler gets too close.

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought.
