Highlands Sunrise - featured on the cover of Outdoor Photographer Magazine

We were treated to a spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains sunrise during our trip to Highlands, NC last weekend for the art festival. "Rhodes Big View" area offers a great view of Whitesides Mountain and the valley below at any given time, but it is especially striking at sunrise. The dynamic sky over the fog filled valleys of the Nantahala National Forest in the golden light of early morning really made this scene special in my opinion.
