Description
Mt. LeConte is 6593 feet in elevation. I was told that when you get that high in The Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, your view is usually of the clouds. This is a ferny trail near the top of the mountain ridge, fogged in, as predicted. Makes you feel like you're walking into a mystical world. It's the clouds and humidity that probably allows for perfect fern conditions at the top of a mountain. Kind of unusual.
