The Norman Chapel at Spring Grove Cemetery was constructed in 1880. It is fashioned in the Romanesque revival style and boasts several beautiful stained glass windows.
Constructed of limestone and sandstone, the interior contains an intricate pattern of arches and pillars of Bedford stone. Carved wooden beams support the chapel's ceiling and Belgian marble paves the floor. Massive bronze doors with bas relief panels frame either side of the chapel sanctuary. The focal point of the chapel is the magnificent stained glass window at the front of the sanctuary that depicts the Ascension of Christ. A glorious sight as the sun beams through, it can also be illuminated for evening ceremonies.
