Artist's Description

This is one of the firebox openings in the behive shaped historical brick kiln at the boat harbor marina in Decatur Alabama USA. This was used to dry native red clay bricks in the 1800s and early 1900s. It has these fireboxes and even points all around the outside of the dome to give even baking to the bricks. This old building is in dis-repair, but is supposed to be restored in the future.

About Kathy Clark

My name is Kathy Clark and I live in Hartselle, Alabama with my husband Tom, and my daughters, Michelle & Jessica, and granddaughter Tasha living close by. However I spent most of my life in Alaska where I learned to appreciate the world around me. I love God's creation and find photography a great way to capture some of that beauty. Digital photography made it even easier to do so. I use a Canon 7D and a Canon Rebel XTi, and Canon lenses, 18mm to 55mm, 75mm to 300mm, and my favorite a 100mm macro lens. I enjoying photographing flowers, especially wildflowers, insects, and birds, the most. I use occasionally some textures and brushes from French Kiss Textures, and Brusheezy, Michael Sebastian textures, 2 Lil Owls Textures, Paree Erica...
