Description
This beautiful building graces the south side of the New Milford Village Green, it has been used as a funeral parlor for many years, belonging to the same family. Originally built in 1860, it was called "The Barlow Mansion". Many renovations were done to give it the current facade as it was originally a typical colonial style home.
If you have never taken a trip to New Milford and the surrounding towns, it is a great place to visit. Our very New England Village Center is the crown jewel, many of the older buildings that were not damaged by "The Great Fire of 1902" still stand as a reminder of days gone by. Now they are occupied by businesses, but they are still as beautiful as ever.
Photograph taken in New Milford, Connecticut, located in Litchfield County.
