Artist's Description
This was taken at an old graveyard outside of Chalfont, Pennsylvania that dates back to the early days of the United States history. A number of Colonial Army veterans are buried here. Reading the dates on the headstones is like looking back through time, a history lesson of sorts.
About Howard Markel
I"m a self taught hobbyist photographer ( learn through doing and my mistakes) . While three of my favorite subjects to photograph are my daughter ( she's quite the model), classic cars and vintage aircraft, I also like photograping nature, landscapes, sunrises and sunsets or about anything else that catches my eye. At a point in my hobby to try and take it to the next level. Nothing ventured , nothing gained. I've also been an avid scale modeler for many years with my main focus on WWII aircraft. I've always felt it to be form of fine art. The scale miniatures I build very realistic with an eye for detail. My photography , I feel, is an extension of that . Howard's HangerPromote Your Page Too
