Amazing

Absolutely beautiful!

This particular scene is from a place very near my father’s house and the memorial bench for his late wife. He himself has taken many similar photographs of this beautiful spot. I love this piece. Having it printed on the wood gave this piece depth and character, like a painting. A little clarity was obscured by the wood grain but it’s beautiful.

I have always loved mermaids and artist Skoosh’s friendship series was one I immediately fell in love with. Treated myself to one on wood and I absolutely love it. The wood is substantial and works wonderfully with the colors on the print. Eventually it will go up on the wall of my craft room/office but for now it’s right next to my laptop where i can see it as I get through my day. Can’t wait for the rest of the series to be available.

Artist's Description

(c)2013 Holding On To Nothing by K Hines Featured: Women Photographers 03/08/2014 Fort Stark was a military fortification in New Castle, New Hampshire. Located at Jerry's Point on the southeastern tip of New Castle Island, most of the fort was developed in the early 20th century, following the Spanish-American War, although there is evidence of earlier earthworks on the site. The purpose of Fort Stark was to defend the harbor of nearby Portsmouth and its vital United States Navy facilities. The fort remained in active use through the Second World War, after which it was used for reserve training by the Navy. The property was turned over to the state of New Hampshire in 1979, which established Fort Stark Historic Site
