Sandra, thanks for the feature of 'Home Sweet Home' in the Memories and Nostalgia group.

Wonderful B&W! vf

Teresa Dixon replied:

Thanks for the support Nina!

I really have a thing (almost an obsession) with vintage camper trailers. What a great find - love it!

Teresa Dixon replied:

Christy, thank so much. I was on a farm looking for a wedding venue and this was on the back of the property. Took my breath away. Talk about honeymoon suite...

cool b/w image.v.

Teresa Dixon replied:

Thanks Bob

Great capture Teresa! I had a show a number of years ago of old trailers like this one that were residences. I stopped at one alongside the road somewhere in New York State and the old guy who lived in it came out and killed a chicken so I could get a picture. Bizarre reminisces. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Your monochrome treatment is exactly right. voted, favorite, Daily Favorite in CFC group

Teresa Dixon replied:

LOVED the story and thanks for sharing.

Barry thanks for the comments! I appreciate the feedback.

It speaks volumes about the conditions of the time. The B&W is so fitting.

Great capture, Terese! Never saw a mobile home so small!

Teresa Dixon replied:

Dakos, I think it's from the 1940-1950 range. It was just to tempting to not take the shot. Thanks for the wonderful comment.

Hello. This is Lucille’s son, Tom. We bought the picture for my brother in law. He was absolutely thrilled with it! He really loves it since he is a harmonica player. Thank you. Thomas A. Chirozzi.

My New Yorker November 10, 2008 cover is perfect as a reflection of my taste in art but, more importantly, it represents an important time in my personal history in a dramatic yet understated way. The date coupled with the light at the end of the tunnel is elegantly subtle. No words needed. It's hung in the entryway of my home.

Artist's Description

This old travel trailer has seen better days. I chose black and white because it seemed more fitting for the trailer than the rust and dirt the color would show. I really wish I had been a fly on the wall when this trailer was in it's prime.

About Teresa Dixon

Teresa Dixon

Welcome to t dioxn photography. Photography is my passion. I began by capturing family and friends in candid moments. Then moved on to everyday things that I think are worth a second look or tell a story. What an amazing God we have. My eyes opened to the beauty that He has blessed us with in all things. I began to notice rich color and details I had taken advantage of or was moving too fast to appreciate. My camera allows me to slow down and really resonate in everyday beauty and the role it can play in my life. I felt the need to share what I see with others. Therefore, I am taking the next step in my fine art photography and selling my work. Look around, enjoy! Comment, I love hearing what others feel when they experience my...
