My sister in law absolutley loves it. She sent a picture of it ot us. When we join her in Hawaii we will be looking for one for our own walls...I love the colors! If our walls weren't already filled here I'd already have one for myself as well...

Absolutely love this print. We converted our formal living room into a music, lounge, study, hang out space for our three tween boys. It’s perfect!

Artist's Description

Homo antecessor reconstruction. Reconstruction of a Homo antecessor head from the skull of 'El Nino de la Gran Dolina' (The Child of Gran Dolina). The skull, which is approximately 800,000 years old, is thought to belong to a child that died between 10 to 12 years of age. It was found in level TD6 of the Gran Dolina site, one of several archaeological sites in Sierra de Atapuerca, Spain, that have been studied on and off over the past century, leading to a massive advancement in the undertanding of human evolution. In 2000, Sierra de Atapuerca was made a world heritage site by UNESCO.

About Javier Truebamsf

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
